jeremypassion:

^ Above is a commercial that was played during the superbowl recently.  A simple but sweet Google.com commercial showing the life and love of a man from the U.S and a woman from Paris.  Pretty sweet to watch and reminds me alot about my girlriend and I (minus the baby n bells.. not quite yet lol)

LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS

Not the easiest thing in the world.  How do I know?..Because I’m in one.

Meet Claire.  Probably the most beautiful, awesome, and loving woman I’ve ever met.  That’s probably why she is the love of my life.

I met her in Vienna, Austria almost 2 years ago (honestly it hasn’t felt that long) and have had a relationship of laughter, happiness, joy, tears, ups and downs, and hard times.  Long distance relationships aren’t the easiest and anyone who is in one, can testify to that.

I’ve learned though, especially now, how important commucation, trust, patience, and faith, is in an LDR.  Yes, it takes alot of LOVE, but you gotta continue to water that love so it can grow.  You gotta let that person know how important they are to you, and when you’re far from each other, you gotta let that person FEEL how important they are to you.  And sometimes you can’t always make that person happy, but you can sure try and give your best.  Learn to be understanding with each other, and communication is probably one thee biggest things to make it work.  LDR’s aren’t for everyone, infact, not everyone is strong enough to do it.  It takes a different kind of strength to fight through the distance to get to your love.

July 21, 2010 will be the day we close the distance!  :)  Claire will be moving to San Francisco, CA where we will be able to be together, and start a new chapter not only in our relationship, but in our individual lives as we continue to learn and face the things life has to offer.  Prayer has always been a big thing in our relationship and we need God even more now that we’re getting closer.

Finally Moments

Although Claire and I won’t always have those butterfly-belly moments and there are times when honestly, we don’t always feel so in love, I know that things will be okay because although being in love is important, there’s a quote that says,

“Love isn’t always about gazing into each other’s eyes, but its about looking together in the same direction.”

As we take this big step in closing the gap that stands between us, I hope God blesses the road ahead.  All I know is that I’m thankful for her, the things she’s taught me, the things I’ve learned from being with her.  I’m learning how to be a man and how to treat her with respect and love that she deserves.

So Claire, thank you for coming into my life.  You are my muse, an inspiration to me, and our relationship has been a life-changer for me.  :)  I know things will work out cuz we’re troopers ;) and I love you.

<3 Jeremy
